What People Are Saying About Tieve Tara
'The most powerful feeling a garden can exude is that of being loved. The garden at Tieve Tara overflows with it. Judith Brand directed all of her creativity and passion into this property over the last 23 years of her life, and that sense of loving care and nurture is everywhere palpable.’
I must have visited over a thousand gardens and over time you notice connections between those that most move you. One such theme is a dedicated owner; one who is truly engaged with their space. Someone whose eyes light up when you ask about it. Tieve Tara is one of those very very special gardens. From the moment I walked in and saw the garden unveil in front of me – the sweeping lawns, vast and plentiful established trees and swathes of artistically arranged shrubs and perennials – it truly transported me to a whole new world and sense of well-being.
As seen in Your Garden magazine
When it comes to beautiful gardens, Victoria is a veritable horticultural Mecca, and one of the most glorious of its gardens is Tieve Tara. The garden is pure visual delight, marking the arrival and passing of each season in style. In winter, it turns crispy white under frost and snow; in spring it comes alive in a blaze of colour as the flowering cherries burst into bloom. Summer is a celebrations in green, as some 200 different trees – fir, hornbeam, poplar, birch, pin oak, gingko, linden and ash – fill out their shade canopies. And it is these very same trees that steal the scene in autumn, in a blur of brilliant reds, oranges and yellows.
